The OC Mechanic # 1 Auto Repair Shop In Mission Viejo

By far some of the nicest mechanics I’ve ever had for work with. Went from what we thought was a simple fix to full catastrophic failure but these guys are amazing. Nestor walked me thru every step of the process sent me pictures with updates all the time. Very friendly staff. Couldn’t have asked for a better team. The best part, which is my main reason to recommend these guys, they gave me a realistic cost estimate prior to doing the work. We agreed to it and then once everything was said and done, they were able to deliver exceptional service and get that price down. My truck feels brand new again.

Nestor was so helpful. I had taken my Honda in a few months back with a faulty timing solenoid and unfortunately it went bad again. Nestor called Honda and ordered a new replacement free of charge. He is always kind and always is great at explaining everything clearly. Best mechanic in town!

I absolutely love everyone that I've encountered at The Mechanic OC. Nestor and Diana are absolute angels. They truly care about the needs and concerns of their customers and have exceeded, by far, my expectations of what exceptional customer service is like. I have never met such kind, caring, honest, and trustworthy mechanics and administrative staff in my life. I have been having oil consumption issues with my Kia Soul and Nestor and Diana went out of their way to take my car into a Kia dealership to try and speak with the manager or person in charge to resolve the manufacturer issue and to have it covered under warranty. The fact that they did all of that out of the goodness of their heart to fight for me and my car issue with the dealership shows what amazing and beautiful souls they are. I'm so grateful and appreciative of their genuine kindness. The world needs more people like Nestor and Diana. I will continue to get my car serviced here, even after I move on from the Kia Soul.

I appreciate The Mechanic OC so much! Nestor was very kind, genuine, and considerate over the phone. The ladies at the front desk were so sweet as well. They accommodated me last minute for an oil change, and they were so understanding that I was running late. When I got back my car, it was spick and span. They cleaned up my car so well, and I had no idea they were going to be so kind in doing that for me. I'm so happy I found this gem of a place!

Nestor and the staff were very informative and helpful. I’ve gone to some other mechanics in Mission Viejo and have had a poor time. If you’re looking for an honest and dedicated mechanic, honestly look no further and come here. Absolute lifesaver!

This is a somewhat longer review!

After finding the shop around 10pm, and having my friend jump my car just to get there, The staff stayed open past hours to test my alternator at no cost, and gave me an estimate as to what it would cost to replace and install.

After day of checking around on prices, what they were asking seemed very fair, so I went in had them order the part the next day and it came in overnight.

I brought my car in the day after, and after a few hours I got a call saying the work was all done!

Upon arriving, I found they had even washed the car for me, inside and out!

Couldn't be happier with how all of that went , and how well my car is running now.

The best part of it all was how engaging, cooperative, understanding, and informative the staff was as a whole! The front desk and mechanics were kind as can be, and let me know what was going on every step of the way, without any pressure to get extra work done on my car or things I didn't ask for; those came in the form of recommendations, rather than any service being pushed onto me that wasn't asked for or necessary, like you might get at other auto-repair shops.

After the repair, the mechanic came out to shake my hand and inform me and confirm to me he did exactly what it was that I agreed upon, and answered all the questions I had about the job! Greater service couldn't be asked for.

I think I will be coming here from now on I believe for any car-related care, even oil changes!

Best mechanic in town! I had gone to get my timing solenoid replaced a few months ago and unfortunately it ended up being a dud. Nestor called a new replacement from Honda and re-replaced it free of charge. He's always great at explaining the problem and breaking down how things are going. Super professional and kind!

I went through absolute h*ll with another repair shop recently. 51 days, and over $7000 of work. They gave my car back to me with a new warning light on, a rattle that was so noisy that I couldn't use my bluetooth for a phone call, and a shattered info screen. You don't give a car back in worse shape than how it was put in! I knew I needed to find a new repair shop.

After checking the reviews on yelp, I decided on The Mechanic OC. Best decision EVER!

The level of care they gave me was as if my car were their own. They were thorough and meticulous, and communicated their findings every step of the way. For the first time, I felt vindicated about the old shop ... learning in full detail how messed up everything was. Ugh. But they gave me some great options, moving forward, for getting everything back in top shape.

It's funny, because I hate that corporate cliché, "We're family!" So it's weird when I say that I feel like family with Nestor and his team.

So ... can I be the Great Aunt Sally? I can bring home baked cookies, and pinch all the kids on their cheeks!

I love being part of this "family" and feel like I'm home. If you're wondering which auto shop to choose, this is the one. They do things right and ... imagine this ... actually CARE about the customer! In today's world, where customer service is going by the wayside in favor of automation and robots and not-a-human-in-sight to talk to, this has been a wonderful experience!
